Oh - I just read this quote. Seemed appropriate.

“You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone’s soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. The tale will move them and drive them and who knows what they might do because of it, because your words. That is your role, your gift.”

-Erin Morgenstern

You are aware of your fears and you just faced them.

Now that is what is called BRAVE.

YOU ARE BRAVE.

BRAVE enough to express your vulnerability and that speaks to the heart and soul.

My heart flooded with love as I read your words.

Keep going.

You are returning to your True Self

This piece – among others on this platform – has inspired me to seriously think about writing a novel again. I've put up all these road blocks for myself, all these goals I need to reach first before I'm "allowed" to work on a longer project like that, but maybe now's as good a time as ever. At least to start making a plan. An outline. And then go from there.

Apart from the specific personal details, I could have written this! You perfectly express the overwhelming feeling of laying your personal thoughts out on paper, for all to see and ponder.

Thank you for sharing!

No one is born with confidence. They earn it by doing whatever it is they most want to do. That's how you open any fear: by walking with it and eventually running towards it.

Good for you! I saw something that might work for me. Colored index cards to be used by subject and a large rectangular index box to organize them.

Google says:

For story writing, index cards help outline your novel, letting you brainstorm scene ideas, develop characters, track timelines, and arrange events. Choose the best size index cards for your needs, ranging from 3x5 inches for smaller projects to 5x8 inches for larger ones. Consider whether digital alternatives might be more convenient for easy editing and collaboration.

I feel that by writing you're afraid of writing about yourself, you're in the process of not being afraid of writing about anything, including yourself!
